Court Fee Support

Helping you reduce or remove the cost of your divorce court fees

Divorcing can be stressful enough without worrying about court costs. At Online Divorce Solicitors UK, we help eligible clients apply for a court fee exemption or reduction through the official government Help With Fees scheme. If you’re on a low income or receiving certain benefits, you may not have to pay the standard £612 divorce court fee.

Who qualifies for Help With Fees?

You may be eligible for a full or partial exemption if you meet any of the following:

  • You receive Universal Credit, Income Support, or other qualifying benefits
  • Your household income is below a certain threshold
  • You have limited savings or financial assets
  • You’re on a low income and responsible for children

Eligibility is based on your income, benefits, savings, and dependants — whether you’re applying on your own or jointly.

How we help you apply

When you use our service, we can guide you through the Help With Fees application and show you exactly where to enter your details. We’ll also explain:

Which documents you may need
Where to include your reference number in the divorce application
How to avoid delays caused by missing information

We ensure your divorce application and court fee support form work together — saving you time and unnecessary stress.

What is the current court fee?

As of April 2025, the court fee to apply for divorce in England and Wales is £612. If you’re eligible for Help With Fees, this amount may be reduced or removed entirely.
